Assessment
 

  Candidates will be awarded an MSc degree upon satisfaction of the following:  
     
  • Attendance of 75% of each part
  • Submission of discussions on 8 case scenarios (500-word per scenario)
  • Submission of a 5000-word dissertation on a diabetes-related topic
  • Submission of a 5000-word dissertation on an endocrine topic
  • Passing a MCQ assessment at the end of Courses DEM5101, 5201, 5202, 5301 & 7401
  • Submission of a full research-based paper (5000-word) with objectives, methodology, data analysis, results and discussion at the end of the programme
  Students are required to achieve an overall GPA of 2.0 or above and to fulfill the Information Technology Proficiency Requirement for graduation.  
 

Credit Recognition

MSc students who have completed Courses DEM5101, 5102 & 6101 and/or DEM5201-3 of the MSc programme and fulfilled all the diploma programme requirements, upon the discretion of the Programme Directors, be recommended the award of the Professional Diploma in General Endocrinology & Metabolism (GDEM) and/or Professional Diploma plus quotable qualification of DDME(CUHK).
